The Reading Center is growing! In order to fill the demand for well-trained Orton-Gillingham tutors to teach Reading Center students to read, we are prioritizing our O-G Institute seats for people who state their commitment to tutor for us. The Reading Center offers online tutoring, and in-person tutoring at our flagship building in Rochester, MN and our new satellite location in Woodbury, MN.

Our highest priority is to train tutors who make a commitment to work with Reading Center students in-person either at our Rochester, MN or Woodbury, MN locations.

Those who successfully complete Reading Center O-G Institute training and are invited to become a tutor can join us in helping to change the lives of dyslexic students.

payment of tuition

Trainees are encouraged to pay tuition in full at the time they are invited to register for training. However, we welcome utilizing payment plans to spread the cost over time. At present, the tuition for Basic Training is $2,995 (Minnesota resident) / $3,195 (out of state tuition) and Advanced Training is $3,195 (Minnesota resident) / $3,395 (out of state tuition).

TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS

Limited up front tuition scholarships are available to trainees who make a commitment to fill one of our high priority tutor positions AND who may have difficulty paying for tuition out of pocket. Benefits of Tutoring with The Reading Center

  • Competitive hourly wage

  • Students have been through testing; you have access to the report.

  • No responsibility to conduct billing with the student and family.

  • Your students may receive a scholarship, so you are never in the position where you must turn down a lower income child due to the parent’s inability to pay. Further, we keep our prices lower so middle income families can get this help for their child.
