Student & Trainee Scholarships

The Reading Center is a nonprofit organization that strives to reach all students - no matter their ability to pay.  We raise funds throughout the year to enable us to offer reduced fees to students whose families are unable to afford the cost of testing, tutoring or classes.

In 2021 we provided almost $102,000 in scholarships to students & Trainees!

STUDENTS

A limited number of scholarships are available to families for testing, tutoring and classes. Eligibility is based on financial need. Every student receiving services is expected to contribute toward the cost of the services rendered. Reading Center Scholarships will not provide 100% of the cost. Scholarship requests are considered on a case by case basis throughout the year and all requests are confidential. If granted, applications for scholarships must be completed annually.

Note: We give priority to applicants living in Minnesota, or out of state counties near our borders. 

Every effort will be made by The Reading Center to help any child that requires our services; however, our total dollar of scholarship funds is limited.

TRAINEES

We also provide scholarships to trainees in our Orton-Gillingham Training Institutes for either financial need or to trainees who wish to become Reading Center tutors.
