Take Advantage of this Exclusive Offer for graduates of The Reading Center's full Basic Orton-Gillingham Training Institute (120 hours) or our School-based Classroom Infusion Training (30 hours).
Membership is offered to those who have successfully taken The Reading Center’s Orton-Gillingham Training. We are offering members exclusive Reading Center resources to support you as you work with students either in a classroom or private tutor setting, to enable skills growth and to practice Orton-Gillingham at high levels of proficiency.
We offer the following types of membership:
Individual Professional Membership...$229 annually
* NEW* School Group Membership (3 teachers)....$500 annually (each additional teacher $150)
Membership is offered FREE to current Reading Center tutors or volunteer tutors with the Rochester Reading Champions program.
All Professional Memberships Include: online access to the resources developed over the past 70 years by Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators Fellows Jean Osman, Terri Peterson, Fay Van Vliet, Barbara Zelinske and others.
New materials are added regularly.

Orton-Gillingham Lesson Planning Resources
Gain access to templates for each of the basic phonograms AND extensive word lists with sample sentences inspired by the work of Jean Osman and Terri Peterson (Academy Fellows) with coordination by The Reading Center. We have prepared more than 500 pages of word lists for the most basic phonograms in the Language Toolkit.
Orton-Gilligham Video Refresher Resources
Refresh your skills with videos of phonogram sounds, practice and multiple spelling videos and demonstration of Orton-Gillingham technique and exercise videos.

Consulting with an Orton-Gillingham Specialist
Individual Professional Members: receive 45 minutes of individual annual consultation.
School Group Members: 60 minutes of annual consultation to the group.
Topics ideas may include: individual student issues, interpretation/clarification of evaluations and what that means for intervention, or inquiries regarding certification to the Academy. Additional consulting available at a rate of $75/hour.
Connecting to The Reading Center Orton-Gillingham Academic Language Therapist Meetings and Discussion and Practice Groups
Seven times per year (Sep., Oct., Nov., Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr.) from 10:45am-12:15pm, Academy Fellows lead Professional Development opportunities with lectures on relevant topics. CEUs and handouts to support meeting content are included.
Small Discussion and Practice Group meetings are held before Professional Development meetings, from 10:00-10:45am or in the evenings with enough interest. These are smaller groups of who meet to discuss new material and individual student cases led by a Master Teacher.
Reading Center Tutors and Rochester Reading Champion volunteers may attend monthly Professional Development meetings and related Discussion and Practice Groups in-person. Individual Professional Members may attend these meetings live through remote access.
School Group Members may view the recorded Professional Development meetings online for a limited period. There is no access to Discussion and Practice Groups in this membership category.
